ANNOUNCE: Clutter-GTK 1.6.0 (stable)

Good news, everyone!

alongside a new stable release of Clutter, here's a new stable release
of the GTK+ integration library, Clutter-GTK.

the new release is available here:

SHA256 checksum:

clutter-gtk-1.6.0.tar.xz

additionally, a git clone of the source tree:
  git clone git://git.gnome.org/clutter-gtk

will include a signed 1.6.0 tag which points to a commit named:
  88f75d309bd68c5607df229f353b1438ecf4bec9

which can be verified with:
  git verify-tag 1.6.0

and can be checked out with a command such as:
  git checkout -b build 1.6.0

Changes since Clutter-GTK 1.4.0:

  • Allow embedding GTK+ widgets on platforms without the
GLX_texture_from_pixmap extension; this means that the widget
embedding feature should also work on Windows; more testing is
welcome.
  • Support hidpi displays and window scaling factors coming from the system.
  • Improve Wayland support.
