OAF and its starting cwd

So I booted a fresh GNOME session, mounted my CD-ROM, changed
directories to somewhere inside it, and started a program that
launched OAF.  Later I quit the program, cd-ed to my home directory,
and tried to unmount the CD-ROM.  It couldn't be unmounted because it
was busy; OAF was still cd-ed into it.

This would be highly inconvenient for a user who has no idea of what
may be going on.

Solutions?
