gnome-db & postgresql problem

Hi

I've just started looking at gnome-db and have installed it using RPM 
distributions. I'm trying to us the fe to connect to my Postgresql db and 
keep getting srv-postfres-srv has crashed. I have checked my .gnorba and 
gdalib 
files and these seem correct.

Even if I try to run srv-postgres-srv from the command line it crashes and 
outputs Gdk-WARNING **: shmget failed!

any help would be greatly appreciated.
