Hi,
I am new to GNOME-DB so I am not acquainted with its versioning
history but if any
of you like to check this out there are some guidelines on the
http://fedora.us/ site
pertaining to using (or not using) the epoch field in RPM packages. For instance
you may want to check out:
http://www.fedora.us/wiki/QAChecklist
I am not sure if other distros using RPM see it the same way though. These
days, all distros have different policies concerning RPM packages it seems.
I hope that answers the "Epoch" issue that was brought up on this thread,
(just tried to help within my competence limits)
Regards,
Neil
