Unschön (ich hänge deine Mail an).  Es gibt doch extra die
"gnome-de"-Liste, um die Arbeit abzusprechen.  In der Sache hast du
vollkommen Recht (Typos, Infinitiv-Formen...).

Mit `cvs log FILE' kann man herausfinden, wer wann was eingecheckt hat.
Außerdem sollte immer ein Eintrag in ChangeLog vorgenommen werden.

Falls mal so ein Fall vorkommt, ist's besser mit

    msgcomm --output=neue_datei.po meine_datei.po deine_datei.po 

den Abgleich zu machen und dann `neue_datei.po' einzuchecken.  Dabei
werden die Übersetzungen aus deine_datei.po nur verwendet, wenn diese in
meine_datei.po fehlen.  So kann man eine "wilde" Übersetzung sinnvoll
verwenden.  Hier ein komplettes Rezept:

    cvs ci de.po                # Meldet "conflict": don't panic!

    mv de.po meine_datei.po     # Eigene Üs. sichern; falls es schon zu
                                # spät ist: don't panic! -- die eigene
                                # Üs. ist als `.#de.po.VERSION gesichert.

    cvs up de.po                # Aktuelle Datei holen; falls die
                                # `de.po' bereits verzeucht ist, einfach
                                # löschen und noch einmal frisch holen.

    mv de.po deine_datei.po     # Fremde Üs. sichern.

    msgcomm --output=de.po meine_datei.po deine_datei.po
                                # Übersetzungen mergen.

    cvs ci -m"Update." de.po    # Datei einchecken.

Menschliche Fehler können natürlich trotzdem immer mal wieder vorkommen;
nur sollten wir uns keine unnötige Mehrarbeit machen!

Hi.

I've been resolving conflicts *again* in my local copy of the Nautilus
de.po. Obviously, we've got at least three people working on that
file. That means that I've got to constantly resolve all kinds of CVS
conflicts, and the other maintainers probably do, too.

Then, I found lots of typos. Grammatical inexactitudes. Imperatives.
It has been made clear that no new imperatives are to be introduced
and all the old ones are to be converted to the infinitive tense.

Nevertheless, some people still seem to be writing messages in the
imperative tense. The quality of the recent updates of the Nautilus
de.po isn't all too good anyway.

I think we should find some consensus on who maintains what.
Apparently, I am supposed to be coordinating all this. So maybe I
should add some finishing touches to everything maintained by other
people and stay away from the translations proper; what do I know.
Anyway, I am *not* satisfied with the quality of recent translations.
People seem to be hacking their messages into their machines at light
speed, and even the most simple of typos get into their PO files! I've
seen "schrerben" instead of "schreiben" once, for example!

We need to work with more dedication and organise better. I hope
everyone realises that.
