Preloading sound files



I finally added sound support to gnibbles, and it's working great.
Much easier than that sound driver I first hacked together 2+ years
ago.:)

But my problem is this - when the game first plays a sample, there's a
noticable lag while it loads the sample.  After the first time,
there's no more delay.

So is it possible to preload the samples to avoid this?  It's not the
end of the world, but it's annoying.
