Anti-Aliased canvasses/lines

Hi,

When I'm using an anti-aliased canvas, I find that the cap style on lines is
ignored.
Am I doing anything wrong?

Also, is there a good method of creating a line widget without immediately
displaying it?
Defining it without a points array gives an error.
