compile error in control-center

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I have some problems 
compiling control-center-1.0.6 and the problem reocurs in gnome-core-1.0.9.

I have had an older version of gnome but it is all removed to make room for 
the new one except imagemagick which to my knowledge hasn't changed.

The problem is a simple matter of an undefined reference to an identifier  
__va_copy which I am not able to find. Does anyone know where this thing is 
defined?
