theme and font color doesn't match

i use a dark theme, in most editors or similiar
places fonts are usually displayed in a light color
on the dark background from the theme without the
need to bother me to re-configure the apps. but in
some other applications the fonts color used are
still black as is in a normal theme, which is not
good for reading, because the background is now darker.

someone could tell me the details behind that? and
howto fix that? thanks.

(i use pygmy, then i saw this, the `fix' is that the
author add a font tag in the preference window. :) but
i hope the gnome/gtk theme can take this all over,
and that is good, right? ;) that then i can switch
randomly with dark and light theme without worrying
about to re-configure font color used in other apps.
