I agree. The GTK-Mailinglists have allways been friendly to people who asked 
questions. Lets keep it that way.

I do often ask about things that have been discussed before, but
a) things might have changed since then ...
b) opinions might have changed ...
c) sometimes I just forgot to read the archive.

So either tell the one who asks to rtfm or point her/him to havox book or
give him a another answer that helps her/him. But dont insult them who ask.
They might not ask again. And those who dont ask cant be helped, and I do
like to help (and show my stupendous knowledge).
