It doesn't depend on anything newer.

This is defined in the autogenned file gnometypesbuiltin.h. It should be
extern GtkType GTK_TYPE_GDK_IMLIB_IMAGE;

If it's not declared there must be a problem with the autogeneration of
gnometypesbuiltin.h
