Trouble with the CVS

I got the strange error message when commiting (after a local branch
merge):
cvs server: cannot find pre-commit filter `/cvs/gnome/CVSROOT/check-po-commit': No such file or directory
cvs server: Pre-commit check failed
cvs [server aborted]: correct above errors first!
only the /cvs/gnome/CVSROOT/check-po-commit.sh exist on the cvs, is
the reason?
