Gnome 1.4 on Solaris 2.6, control center issues...

Hi,

I seem to be having problems getting control-center-1.4.0 or 1.4.0.1 to
link.  A quick search on google yields similar queries, but no answers, so
i shall ask the question again! :)

The compiling system is running Solaris 2.6, fully patched.  When
compiling control-center-1.4.0.1 ld reports a fatal error due to libxpm.  
I think i have correctly installe xpm-3.4k, as referenced in the how-to.

All of the libraries and whatnot have been installed under
/opt/local/gnome.  LibXPM is there.  libgtkxhtml is also there.  Any
ideas?
