Building gnome-libs on Solaris 7

Hi, I'm (foolishly?) trying to build gnome-libs-1.2.13 on Solaris 7 and
I get this error after make:

make[2]: Entering directory
`/home/mcumming/downloads/gnome-libs-1.2.13/support'

/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wunused -o
libgnomesupport.la -rpath home/mcumming/lib -version-info 0:0:0
findme.lo
poptconfig.lo poptparse.lo popt.lo popthelp.lo gnome-argp.lo getopt.lo
getopt1.lo scandir.lo strndup.lo strnlen.lo vasprintf.lo error.lo
-lz -lresolv -lm
libtool: link: only absolute run-paths are allowed

make[2]: *** [libgnomesupport.la] Error 1

Any ideas?
