Looks good [from my limited knowledge of bash scripting]...
Of course the exec lines should be something like 

exec $PREFIX/bin/gnome-session --choose-session="${selected}"


ie. include $PREFIX for GNOME install dir 
    and include the '=' at the end of the 
    option.
