ANNOUNCE: gob 1.0.11 and gob2 1.99.1 released

Well it's finally that time. GOB2 is released. Also made an
updated version of gob, which fixes a few minor issues: It fixes
crashes and errors related to the (export) keyword, and it
will once again create objects that will compile with GTK+2.0.

The bigger part here is gob2: This is a development release of the GObject
port of gob. Since the syntax has changed, a couple of things have been
changed unrelated to the GObject move, but overall it is very similar to gob
1. It already supports all the standard features of GObject, including
properties, signals, and other such good stuff. Interfaces are not yet
supported directly, though of course you can still use interfaces by
overriding the get_type method. You can install both gob and gob2 at the
same time and they will not interfere with each other. The binary name for
gob2 is just that: gob2.

So where do you get this?

There are RPMS available of the 1.0.11 version. RPMs of the gob2 are not
built, but the tarball includes a spec file, however I have not tested it.

Have fun,
