I attempted to compile gnome-libs-1.4.1.2 and got the following:
In file included from gnome-metadata.c:67:
/usr/include/db_185.h:171: parse error before '*' token
/usr/include/db_185.h:171: warning: type defaults to `int' in declaration of `__db185_open'
/usr/include/db_185.h:171: warning: data definition has no type or storage class
gnome-metadata.c: In function `init':
gnome-metadata.c:177: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
make[2]: *** [gnome-metadata.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/wstan/mydownloads/gnucash/gnome-libs-1.4.1.2/libgnome'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/wstan/mydownloads/gnucash/gnome-libs-1.4.1.2'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
Previously, I configured and installed db-3.3.11 using:
'../dist/configure --enable-compat185 --prefix=/usr'
then, 'make' and 'make install'. Everything here went OK with the
installation of db.
What should I do next to get gnome-libs installed?
I have tried using db-2.7.7 but the "__db185_open" error popped up during
configure.
