I think it would be cool if the drawer contained something like recently
opened documents of the type associated with that application.
Currently, I don't think there is very good document type association in
Gnome though.
This would be probably more useful, and certainly more intuitive to new
users. A new user looking for their email client might not know to look
under the Internet category (especially if it's marked with a big red
dinosaur's head).
