dunno if this belongs in this list but i can't think of...

anywhere else to post it. Hopefully someone can help me. I used to
have 2 gnome installs (Gnome 1.4 and a Gnome 2.0)... The gnome 2.0
install was in /opt/gnome.

well, i have since updated to RedHat Limbo, which got rid of gnome 1.4,
and installed Gnome 2.0 in /usr. OK. Everything is fine and dandy,
other than I cannot compile any gnome apps because, for some #%%* reason
this happens;
(example of me trying to compile/make gnome-session 2.0.4)

/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -o gnome-session manager.o
ice.o main.o prop.o save.o command.o remote.o logout.o splash-widget.o
gsm-gsd.o gsm-protocol.o gsm-sound.o gsm-typebuiltins.o util.o -lSM
-lICE -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lX11 -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgnomeui-2 -lSM -lICE
-lbonoboui-2 -lgnomecanvas-2 -lgnome-2 -lart_lgpl_2 -lpangoft2-1.0
-lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lpangoxft-1.0
-lpangox-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lbonobo-2 -lgconf-2 -lgnomevfs-2
-lbonobo-activation -lORBit-2 -lxml2 -lz -llinc -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl
-lgobject-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lpthread -lglib-2.0 -lesd -laudiofile -lm
-L/usr/lib -lwrap -lnsl
mkdir .libs
libtool: link: cannot find the library
`/opt/gnome/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.la'
make[2]: *** [gnome-session] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/work/gnome-session-2.0.4/gnome-session'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/work/gnome-session-2.0.4'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

I can cut/paste the configure script output, but nowhere is it
mentioning the old /opt/gnome which no longer exists. My question is,
what the heck is still pointing to that old directory thus keeping me
from compiling (gnome stuff)???
