This is interesting. This can be set with the
/apps/nautilus/preferences/desktop_is_home_dir key in gconf-editor.
However, it is supposed to default to FALSE, but I've heard about people
who have accidentally gotten this by default.

How did you do your upgrade? build from source? packages? if packages,
what packages?

Has anyone else seen this?
