stability issue with the gnomecanvas richtext item

I gcompris I am using the richtext gnomecanvas item to display a
description in the menu but it often crashes (tested with CVS
libgnomecanvas).

I often get one of this error:
(gcompris:32351): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid cast from `GdkGCX11'
to `GnomeCanvasRichText'
OR
(lt-gcompris:22781): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid cast from
`GtkTextTagTable' to `GnomeCanvasRichText'

Replacing the richtext by a regular text removes the issue.

Anyone using the richtext item, do you face similar issue.
