g_app_info_launch fork?

Hello,

I am using g_app_info_launch to launch an application, if the caller
application gets killed
the application launched with g_app_info_launch gets killed as well.

What is the proper way to prevent this?
Should one get the cmd_exe instead(it's from a desktop file) and use fork()?
