As Mark said, we dont make our editors for those who know the advantages of Emacs,
we make them for the average programmer who needs to be able to get things done
without learning a scripting language and reading 20 pages of keybindigns just to
start it up.

I am refering to Emacs' use of "buffers" as its mdi...I think its ugly and a bad
design (although I dont blame the authors, since it has been around since before I
was born I think)

In case the rest of you havent noticed, average users get pissed off when they
have to upgrade their computers every year to keep up with new software. This is a
Bad Think (tm) IMNSHO.

<rant>
The attitude that "Emacs rules and everything else is an inferior piece of shit"
frankly pisses me off. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, and not
tayloring to them is where companies like Microsoft have gone wrong. What power
users like ourselves think is easy to learn, may not be (and probably isn't) quite
so simple for everyone else, so we have to keep them in mind when developing our
software. If we fail to do this, the Open Source bandwagon is just gonna tip over
and be abandoned like the fad that the software giants have always said it is. I
dont want this to happen and I doubt any of you do either, so give it a break with
the Im Better Than You Are shit, and try and help people out a little.
