Hi Biswa,
Gustavo is working on that (improving gnome-build/automake parsing).
I've already mailed him today asking him how far along that is :)
As for other stuff, Dave Campd is doing a rewrite of gnome-debug. The
editor (glimmer) is in a usable state imo (i'm the co-maintainer of
glimmer).
Hopefully when the new project stuff is in, we can do some sort of
(pre-)release.
If you want to hack on something, i'd suggest you find some cool feature
in anjuta1 which is not yet in anjuta2 and port/write it :)
