The best way to start is to build anjuta2 (and related modules), run it,
and then fix something that bothers you (fixing a bug is a good way to
begin).
Have you already got anjuta2 running? If not, you need to checkout the
modules from GNOME cvs.
http://primates.ximian.com/~dave/misc/hacking-anjuta2.html
I don't know if that document is still up-to-date, but it lists the
basic requirements (gdl, gnome-build, gtksourceview, glimmer and anjuta2
modules).
If you're having trouble getting the glimmer bonobo editor control to work
in anjuta2, you might have to tell bonobo-activation where to look for it
(if you installed somewhere other than your default prefix). I just
install in my jhbuild prefix (/gnome) so b-a picks it up automatically.
Editing /etc/bonobo-activation/bonobo-activation-config.xml (iirc) is
another option (there's also an environment variable, but i don't know the
name).
If you want to discuss some part of anjuta2, there's the devtools list and
there's #devel-apps on gnome irc.
Hope this helps,
Jeroen
