Could somebody at Ximian please make sure that their future releases don't
have customizations which break the documentation and translations? This
sort of breakage frustrates users, reflects poorly on all of GNOME, and
leads to quite a few spurious or mis-directed bug reports. If these sort
of changes are made to GNOME in the future, the documentation and po files
should be updated before shipping.
Note that GDP writers need to make sure their documents describe the
behavior of "plain" GNOME (ie. what is in GNOME CVS, GNOME ftp, or
available through the GNOME Packaging Project), and not customizations
made to GNOME by any redistributors or distros. Any GDP writers who are
not running plain GNOME should have it reviewed by somebody who is using
plain GNOME to make sure that it is accurate.
