Adding to basic skills

There's two things that I think the User Guide should
cover but doesn't:
- how to enter special characters, unicode, and
switching keyboard layout
- how the clipboard works: the concept of copying &
pasting, how it's independent of apps, middle-click,
and so on.
The problem is... where should these go?
Clipboard can probably fit into 'Desktop Overview', as
a 2.x section.
But I've looked at the Keyboard Skills bit and it's
all about shortcut keys, so I don't see how to fit in
something about plain old typing.
Any ideas?
