Hi Stefan,
I just came in from a successful docs build using gtk-doc.  (I got just gtk-doc/doc/ wich contains sections-file.txt  setting-up.txt  and style-guide.txt  only, My last try to build docs was somehow catastrophic, so I didn't know from where I can get started).
gtk-doc-manual.xml available on cvs.gnome.org is all what I need

Hi tarek again,

I had a look at the configure.in of gtk-doc. The docs are only installed if
scrollkeeper is available. That mean that you distributor might need to take
some extra steps when preparing the gtk-doc packages. At the time gtk-doc
usually gets installed scrollkeeper is not yet there (yes, thats called a
circular dependency). Means they need to install in twice :(
