Those of you who use gedit to work on DocBook may find
this useful...
The snippets plugin lets you insert bits of text, eg I
type 'li', press TAB and I get the docbook tags for a
listitem with a para inside.
You need to:
1. add a lang file for docbook from
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356275
Save it in ~/.gnome2/gtksourceview-1.0/language-specs
as docbook.lang
2. add the snippets file from
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357089
Save it in ~/.gnome2/gedit/snippets as docbook.xml
Relaunch Gedit, open a docbook file and there you go.
(Note that the fragment files we use for the user
guide won't get recognized as docbook, you'll have to
set the highlight mode yourself.)
I've created snippets for the stuff I found I needed
most frequently. If you have requests or submissions,
please let me know :)
