Re: Deprecated Ctrl+Alt+D keyboard shortcut in the Desktop Help

Hi Phillippe,

You are correct in that Ctrl+Alt+D does not work in Fedora15, however I believe it may still work in other distros (like Ubuntu).  I added a note to this effect on that page and pushed the fix to the gnome-3-0 branch.

As for how to report bugs in the future, in the help there is a section "Get more help", which has a link to "Found a problem?".  This page should (hopefully) walk you through how to file a bug in gnome's bugzilla.  If there are any problems with those directions, please let us know here :-)

Thank-you for bringing the problem to our attention.

Cheers,

Tiffan

Hi everyone,

First of all, I want to congratulate you all for the great GNOME 3 experience.
I'd also like to report a minor documentation issue I may have seen yesterday on my Fedora 15 (GNOME 3) distribution.

I was reading the following page from the Desktop Help: Tips & tricks > Useful keyboard shortcuts.
This page contains a "Ctrl+Alt+D" shortcut, which:
- with the comment: "Hide all windows and show the desktop",
- but it seems deprecated to me, as I don't see where every window would be minimized under GNOME 3,
- and of course, this shortcut doesn't have any apparent effect on my computer.

Being quite new here at the gnome-doc-list, I'd like to apologize if I've written to the wrong mailing list.
Could you please confirm how to report bugs in the future if I've done wrong this time?

Best regards,

Philippe
