Does it mean that they are hidden intentionally unless you enable

Hi Gunnar,

No, there's no secret switch or anything to turn on that style. I
just put "experimental" in the style name so that anybody using it
knows they're not using a stable feature.

I don't know why the tiles wouldn't be showing up. Are you
processing the docs with yelp-xsl 40? When you look at the index
page, are the links rendered as boxes with blue bars with the icon
missing? Or are they just regular links?

Thanks for your hints!

On Debian I had upgraded yelp but not yelp-xsl. Upgrading the latter from 3.38.3 to 40.2 fixed it.

As regards Ubuntu it was an embarrassing oversight on my side. We have a custom index.page, and once I had added the "experimental-gnome-tiles" style the icons showed up as expected.

But on Ubuntu there is another related problem: We have the additional group "Install & remove software", but no related tile image. Is there an extended collection of tile-*.svg images somewhere from where I could pick something installation related, and if there is, can such an additional image be applied somehow?

And finally a question about prefs.page: That page is prepared for the new style, but no images are shown — only dark blue fields to the left. Is the style of that page 'under construction'?
