Re: File dialog (was: Re: First UI component needing replacement.)



I hate to argue this point too much, but for Gnome, "it always has been"
shouldn't be reason enough.  I heavily agree that "Close" should always be
used where changes may have been saved, and "Cancel" used when that term is
more appropriate.  However, this can be eliminated by allowing users to
click on the window-manager's close icon to be 'close' and getting rid of
the 'close/cancel' button entirely (making the UI more consistent with the
rest of their software).
