Currently, we have a couple of .schemas files in various modules in
GNOME (gnome-control-center, libgnome, libgnomeui). I would like to
move them all in libgnome, break them up, and namespace them. The
rationale behind this is that it will make it easy for us to maintain
the core set of GNOME schemas, and we'll be able to avoid conflicts with
other apps that also want to install their own schemas. To this end, I
propose naming the files along the lines of:
desktop_gnome_interface.schemas
desktop_gnome_menus.schemas
desktop_gnome_peripherals_mouse.schemas
desktop_gnome_background.schemas
etc...
That is, put all the schemas that belong in one location in that one
file, and name the file after that location.
Any objections/comments? I'll go ahead and do this tonight if no one
else minds.
Thanks,
-Jonathan
