Oh ye of little faith!
There are 28 open bugs in the Nautilus Help System component, 9 marked
"future", 18 marked "2.0", and 1 without a milestone attached. I think
that's a bit too ambitious for 2.0, but it's not ridiculous.
It's true that for the Nautilus bugs overall we have a long way to go.
Overall, we have only 72 marked "future", 29 marked "2.0", and we still have
1539 bugs that don't have a milestone attached. But we had a lot more just a
week or two ago. The job of categorizing and finding duplicates is not such
a huge burden. We just need a bit more help; more contributors like John
Fleck.
New bugs aren't getting lost. If you look at the bug list, you'll see that
the bug reports are pretty high quality on average -- clear and specific and
not too nit-picky. Enhancement requests account for the bulk of the 1600
open ones.
