I think you can. I can confirm that it is ok to delete :

> evolution_before_trying_to_fix_docs
> gedit-testing
> control-center-before-surgery
> gnome-control-center-deleteme

This two are used :

> control-center-plus
> gnome-control-center

And this is Havoc's control center module (i think)
