Hi all,
Since it seems that the some of the release team feel incompetant to
judge on advice as to whether gnome-print should be in the platform for
Gnome 2.0, we need to re-build consensus here first:
It would be good if people who agree, could agree here.
So here goes (again):
Hi Guys,
With the departure for sabbatical of the gnome-print maintainer, and a
subsequent review of the code and API it seems there is a worrying
level of immaturity / brokenness in there.
This need not particularly be a problem, since libgnomeprint[ui] is
used at most lightly in a few Gnome applications, if we could hoist the
printing modules out of the developer platform.
So I'd like to raise this for hard core discussion, if that's a
contentious issue - Chema ( the new maintainer ) will I'm sure have some
valuable input here.
Regards,
Michael.
