I think that is a given if we are going to move on to more sophisticated
version control systems.
Remember that we will still be making regular tarball releases (which is
what people currently use if they don't want to take on the cvs dependency).
Naturally we will want to have some policy for modules in the developer
platform and desktop releases (having 20 different VC systems would be
bad), and this thread seems to have turned into a discussion about what
this policy should be.
