At the systems level VMware is looking to solve current issues of power management, hot plugging, wireless connectivity, etc. These findings will be contributed back into the open source community. This is being called the vClient Initiative.

Guys, if you really want to help intregrate your solutions in the
FOSS desktops, provide us with a libvirt [1] back-end, which will work
with your line of products. I could try to detail why I haven't been
sucessful so far, but I don't want to be boring to the audience ...
You have the knowledge, you have the bits, it's nice to ask us to
help you, but could you do your share on the other side ?
thanks in advance,
Daniel
P.S.:
