In gnome-core I read:
#. for languages that can't display atilde, replace 'á' with 'a'
#: gnome-about/contributors.h:22
msgid "Szabolcs 'Shooby' Bán"
msgstr ""
But even hu.po doesn't show "atilde" but an "a" with an "´". Now I'm
wondering what character is actually meant. Using iso-8859-1 I can
offer â (a with caret) or ã (a with a tilde). And also á, of course :)
