Language support of Yi minority in china

Hi,

after creating a new font for the chinese minority with the Yi langugage I
work now on the OS support of this language. The unicode.org registered all
chars (0xA000...) But I can not find, where to register a language ID.

Can you please pass this email along to those linux programmers, who can
give me insider knowledge about native language support.
