This problem of the inability to fit the text in the dialog boxes was
also affecting the Greek translations. I believe that it got fixed about a
year ago.
The person that reported the problem, could s/he try to reproduce it with
the latest snapshop of GNOME (for example latest Ximian)?
I believe it was a problem with calculating the width of characters for
non-latin1 fonts.
We had this problem with control-center, nautilus (options), mozilla.
