Well, when a word is written alone, not in a sentence, it may or may not
be capitalized; it depends more on general style than on the language.

On the other hand if the word is part of a sentence, then it should
follow the language rules (eg in English language names are capitalized;
in Spanish they are not).

HTML entities are very limited; if you really need multilanguage in a web page
use utf-8 instead. (well, you can also write the unicode value number
as an "entity" but you lose all the interesting side of entities that is
to be more or less human readable; if you go for obscure numbers, then
use utf-8 directly, so the file can be viewed/edited with any utf-8 plain
text utility)
