If cvs -q is used, then I'd suggest status.c to output a line like this:
"=== Checking out xxxxxxxxx module ==="
before the real "cvs checkout ...". If -q is added, then it's quite
impossible to tell what cvs module is the culprit when there's something
wrong during the checkout.
