Hi

If u want are having trouble getting Bengali fonts working, try out my HOWTO
at http://symonds.net/~bighead/gnome/gnome-devnag-howto/. Although the HOWTO
says Devanagari, I think the fonts installed by pango-fonts/indic (as mentioned
in the HOWTO), include bengali fonts too.

Just thought I'd mention it.
