Excellent. If you have a newer gettext, you might also want to use the
-C flag (I at least always use it): msgfmt -Ccv file.po

Yes, and I think there are more translators that didn't expect this. I
only monitor the status pages several times daily because I expect the
worst thing to happen. :(
