I almost deleted this as spam, since it's HTML only, but it turns out it's probably legit. I don't recall what Christian found out with the "Punjabi" (?) team, but it looks like there's at least another translator. Greg

----Original Message Follows---- From: Christian RoseHi All
I am interested in making Gnome available in Punjabi language. I sent a couple of e-mails to the current co-ordianator as listed on the web-site as the coordinator for the “Punjabi” project, but haven’t heard from him in a long time. I was wondering if the person is available.
I would like to take the ownership as the coordinator and then making Gnome available in Punjabi as soon as possible. I have some volunteer friends who are as excited about the project as I am.
An early reply would be highly appreciated,
Warm Regards,
Amarjit.

In general we prefer if new team coordinators are suggested on the gnome-i18n@gnome.org mailing list, in order to let both the current team coordinator and existing team members know about the problem and new suggested team coordinator, and also let everyone know when we change. Sometimes the coordinator of a team is unreachable but the rest of the team is still active, and then it's good if the rest in the team also know about and are ok with change to a new team coordinator. So please explain the situation on the gnome-i18n@gnome.org mailing list, and include the details for the new suggested coordinator as mentioned on http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gtp/teams.html#starting in your mail. Please also cc: that mail to the mailing list directly to the current coordinator. Thanks, Christian
