GTK

Hi!
I'm just at the beginning in Linux and Gnome world. I'm trying to make 
any program using GTK, but I haven't enough information.
I used Glade in the process of creating user interfaces to my programs, 
but I don't know how to build all the full package, this is, how to 
compile and construct all files for running my own software.

Does anybody explain me where's any information for beginners, any book...?
