Dear Azad,

I really got sad after reading your post. I have to say that no coordinator
must behave like that until he has very good reasons to do so. Roozbeh
writes in his mail that he waits for academy's list. But he should not
forget that Persian is not only Language of Iran but it's also being used
outside of it (even in my country). So I think there are people out there
using Persian that really don't care about the standarts that Iranian
academy releases. It would be very good if he replies here to group with
the real answer about the problem. Because we cannot judge him just from one
letter you attached.

As for your own translations, nothing could be easier:

First, install the application you want to use or translate.
Then, get it's pot/po file and translate it. After that you'll
have to find the name of compiled mo file that this program uses.
I would suggest you to look at for example

/usr/share/locale/sv/LC_MESSAGES

dir and find the mo file for that
application (so you could see the name it must have) in one of the most
complete languages' (generally sv, sr, pt) directory.
So you can now see for example that Rhythmbox will compile
its' po file to rhythmbox.mo and so on.

Later, drop  to command line or use Kbabel to generate the mo file
from your translated po file like this:

cd translation_dir (where your po file is)
msgfmt -o name_of_mo_file name_of_po_file

If it has no spelling errors in po file it will generate the  appropriate
mo file. (actually I suppose you're familiar with these ones at the moment)

The last thing is to copy the .mo file to the directory for
Persian translations. I suppose it is

/usr/share/locale/fa/LC_MESSAGES

and restart your program.
Voila! If you use Gnome under another (English or other) locale
you can start specific applications in Persian by issuing this command:

LANG=fa rhythmbox

Hope this helps a little.

PS: I don't know if there's a possibility to send your translated files to
one of the folks here to commit to CVS without having the coordinator's
approval. I hope you solve your problems with Roozbeh.
