Ah well, I never said there were: there are 1.1 billion Chinese
Simplified speakers, and 1.1 Chinese Traditional speakers -- whether
they're the same people, I don't know :-)
Actually, I did ask (further down in original post) for numbers which
distinguish between these two, because that data is *not* included in
the list Christian pointed to.
I didn't want to split them to arbitrary numbers, so I'm waiting for
more input.
The same thing should probably be done for Portuguese, because we have
separate Brazilian Portuguese.
