There has been an unannounced string freeze breakage in the
gnome-terminal gnome-2-4 branch.
This seems to be the commit in src/terminal.c that caused the
unannounced string addition:
----------------------------
1.64 <mariano> 2003-09-22 19:12
2003-09-22 Mariano Suárez-Alvarez <msuarezalvarez@arnet.com.ar>
* src/.cvsignore: added gnome-terminal.schemas.
* src/terminal.c(parse_options_callback): undeprecate the
--use-factory option, which is the default anyways; fixes (half of)
bug 101143.
----------------------------
This is the change:
http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&root=/cvs/gnome&subdir=gnome-terminal/src&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&file=terminal.c&rev2=1.64&rev1=1.63
Communication with translators regarding string changes at supposedly
frozen times is very important. This is also true even for bug fixes. If
you feel the need to break a freeze, follow the procedure outlined on
http://developer.gnome.org/dotplan/tasks.html#ApprovingFreezeBreaks to
get approval first, and please respect the freezes otherwise.
Unless this string addition is absolutely essential to have on the
gnome-2-4 branch, I suggest the string addition be reverted.
Christian
